Giving FAQs

What payment method options can I choose from?

The online giving program is configured to accept direct payments from checking or savings accounts. We also accept credit & debit card payments.

What type of fee does the church incur if I give online?

When it comes to online giving, direct payments from checking or savings accounts are the most cost-effective. The fee for credit & debit card payments is minimal compared to the fee incurred through our previous giving platforms.

How often will payments be pulled from my account?

The program can be configured to pull funds from your account at a frequency that's right for you. Your current options are one-time, weekly, bi-weekly, 1st and 15th, and monthly.

Is my information secure when I make an online contribution?

Yes. The security of your information is important to us so all information recorded when making an online contribution is encrypted.

Who has access to my financial information?

The only people who have access to your financial information are authorized members of staff; this includes the members of the Finance Team as well as the Senior and Executive Pastors. Other members of the church, including members of your household, cannot access your giving information; the only exception is if you and your spouse have combined giving since those contributions appear on one statement.

How can I get a record of my giving?

You can access your contribution statement at any time by logging into your MyBrownBaptist account and clicking on “Giving History” or contacting a member of the Finance Team. This statement will cover both your automated giving as well as any other offerings you give on the weekend. The church sends out contribution statements at the beginning of the year covering all contributions from the previous year as well as periodically throughout the year.

How can I opt-out of receiving printed contribution statements in the mail?

You can opt-out of receiving a printed contribution statement from the church by logging into your account and clicking on “Update Giving Statement Preference” located in the Giving Info section on the My Account page.

Can I test this system by giving one-time?

Yes. There is an option to give a one-time gift. This is a great way to better understand how the system works.

I have my giving set where my bank sends a check to the church. Do I need to change my giving to the online platform?

No, you can continue to have your bank send a check to the church.

I currently give through Cash App. Do I need to change to the online platform?

Yes, if you are giving through Cash App, we would like you to switch to the online giving platform.

I've signed up for recurring giving but would like to change my preferences or need to stop. How do I do this?

You can make changes at any time by using the "Manage Recurring Giving" button on the sidebar. Once you login you can change any of your preferences or stop your recurring giving. If you have any trouble you can contact a member of the Finance Team.

Is there a step-by-step guide I can access to see how to set up my giving?

Yes, you can find a step-by-step guide here.
